It's not a person's laziness, or lack of initiative that causes problems in life, It's what's deeply rooted in their mind.

Jasir Franklin, a Spiritual Coach, Entrepreneur, Author, and Mindset Engineer, is the host of Heal PTHD, a groundbreaking podcast that aims to bring awareness to the normalized traumas experienced in the hood and to interrupt the destructive programs they create.
Having grown up in South Central Los Angeles during the era of Reganomics, a time characterized by gang violence, drugs, and mass incarceration, Jasir Franklin witnessed the devastating impact these circumstances had on individuals and broken families. This was not limited to South Central alone; it became the unfortunate reality for hoods across America.

Today, these traumas have become ingrained in the so-called "Culture" of hood residents, influencing movies, music, dietary choices, and even households. Post Traumatic Hood Disorder (PTHD) emerges from these normalized traumas, fostering anger, bitterness, and frustration. Trauma ignites fear, which in turn hampers logical thinking, leaving individuals to navigate the world solely based on emotions, often reacting rather than responding appropriately to challenges they may not fully comprehend or appreciate. These reactive behaviors become ingrained programs that shape how people show up in the world.
Heal PTHD goes beyond being just another podcast. It is a movement carefully designed to disrupt the cycle of hood traumas. Jasir Franklin, having experienced his own journey as a refugee from the war within his community, understands the scar tissue that can develop in the mind, leading to bitterness, anger, and a sense of hopelessness. Through personal experiences including two divorces and the loss of over 20 friends to gun violence and mass incarceration, Jasir Franklin finally diagnosed the root cause of his failures in life.
Guided by an African proverb emphasizing that a person's failures in life are not due to laziness, stupidity, or lack of initiative, but rather to what is deeply rooted in their mind, Jasir Franklin believes it is time to engage in some mental gardening and uproot the weeds planted by the hood.
Heal PTHD is not just a podcast; it is a movement aimed at disrupting hood traumas. It provides a safe space for individuals who have experienced similar challenges to come together as hood refugees seeking solutions. The podcast acts as a catalyst for diagnosis and healing, empowering individuals to embark on their own transformative journeys. Through Heal PTHD, Jasir Franklin endeavors to create a supportive community where individuals can find solace, healing, and the tools necessary to overcome the traumas of the hood and reclaim their power.
